COMFORT BECOMES AN ART...
Eccentricity and comfort are Danielle Nault's motto. Danielle Nault is a self-taught creator, passionately involved in garments. In 1988, she enters the world of creation with her own line of accessories, ciseled in luxurious fabrics and adorned with delicate trimmings. But her true adventure in fashion starts in 1995 when she is introduced to berber, a warm fabric reminiscent of fake fur : it's love at first sight. Enthralled by all downy textures, she is taken in by sherpa, brushed knits, velvets, fake fur and curled knitwear. These fabrics, inspiring comfort, incite her to create vests, pullovers, capes, tunics and cosy maxi overcoats.
Distributed in choice boutiques across Canada, and through High Hand Craft Show, Danielle Nault's signature collections have many fans from overseas, who, while visiting the country, have been seduced by a unique garment. Faithful to her style and consistent in her evolution, the creator of daring comfort has succeeded in imposing her style and attracting a loyal and stylish clientele. Available in many sizes, the garments are roomy and sweeping, to keep the wearer snug and cozy without limiting the flow of movements.
The Danielle Nault signature is identified to cosy-comfortable overcoats with the distinctive unexpected combinations of textures. From the subtle association of streaked fake fur with mottled sherpa or fleece jacquard and printed velvet, arise ingenious unions of textures, always original and refined.
The designer qualifies her creation as being hand-crafted, since each and every garment is constructed and sculpted following the inspiration brought on by meticulously chosen materials. Produced in limited series, the micro-collections ensure a unique character and make each garment almost exclusive to the point where some adepts will collect them as they would for works of art. In addition to the fine ornemental details and the specific care given to the lining of each garment, all overcoats bearing the Danielle Nault signature come with a coordinated hat, mittens or scarf. Taking a further step ahead in her creation and inspired by the notion of cocooning, the designer lately came up with adorable quilt style blankets. Each one is a unique mosaic of textures and colors sometimes combined with up to 36 squares of different fabric, from fleece to faux fur.
Don't miss the spring shows if you want to see her new summer and spring collection.
Whereas her Fall and Winter collection is warm and cozy, her Summer collection is fresh and breezy. Veil covered dresses in soft pastel colours, refined blouses and sweeping sweaters covered with ever so delicate shawls, the summer collection is a worthy competitor to her winter collection.
